How We Started

Like a lot of people, my story took a big turn during COVID. I was working as a bartender when the pandemic hit, and suddenly I found myself without a job. While many were forced to take layoffs, I knew I wanted to stay busy and keep moving forward. That’s when I was given the chance to learn the ins and outs of the gutter trade.

By 2021, I’d saved enough to buy my own machine and tools, and I took the leap into self-employment. In the beginning, I was chasing storms and handling gutter replacements alongside roofing crews—hard work, but it taught me so much about the business and what it really takes to succeed.

Somewhere along the way, life handed me something even better: I met my partner in a small South Dakota town. Together, we took a risk and moved to the Twin Cities to put down roots and start building the kind of life we dreamed about.

Since then, I’ve poured everything I have into this company. What started as just me and a machine has grown into something much bigger: a way to provide for my little family, create opportunities for the future, and chase that American dream—one home, one gutter at a time.
